Interested in teaching or DJing at the Albuquerque Tango Festival?
With 2019 attendance in the range of 800 dancers, the Albuquerque Tango Festival is one of the largest and most esteemed Argentine tango festivals in the US. As such we are always on the lookout for new, top-tier, instructors and DJs who will add to our event

Core Instructors: We hire three core teaching couples each year. If you live outside the U.S., it is important that you already have a tour scheduled and have made arrangements for your P-3 visa. We do not handle visa acquisition and we can only reimburse international airfare when it is split between other organizers in a tour.

In selecting core instructors who are not only exceptional dancers and instructors but who also have developed a strong brand and international following. Also, we curate the instructors each year so that attendees have a variety of dance styles to choose from.

Guest Instructors: We hire three guest instructors every year who each instruct two classes on one day. Guest instructors typically have a regional, rather than a national or international, reputation and may only teach in their home town. The guest instructor program is a great way for dancers to study with highly-acclaimed instructors across the US who are not on the tango festival teaching circuit.

DJs: We have a fairly strict policy of only hiring DJs that we have previously heard in a milonga setting and do not hire based on DJ resumes or recommendations. We usually scout our DJs from other festivals, marathons, and encuentros.  If you are interested in DJing for our festival, please email us and let us know your DJing schedule for the upcoming year. If possible, we will try to catch you live.
